The rhyming tale is quite engaging, and the sweet vintage-appeal of the illustrations is idyllic. During the holidays I feel like it is so easy to g During the holidays I feel like it is so easy to get so caught up in the things that don’t really support the true meaning of Christmas, despite our best intentions. Choosing intentional things that we can do for others during this special season is a great way to inspire a generous and compassionate spirit within our family. And the idea of teaching my children that they have the ability to bring joy and love to others through even the simplest acts of kindness is so important to me. I love this tradition of choosing a tree together and I hope our kids will have fond memories of us doing this together through the years! Starting to feel VERY elfy around here despite the Starting to feel VERY elfy around here despite the fact that we have only TWO actual tiny pieces of Xmas decor out in the house (😂😂 Paul said the house “needs a break” after Halloween!). Don’t worry - Niko and I are determined to deck these halls this upcoming week! And Noah has started wearing a Santa hat around just for the heck of it which is pretty cute too! I’ve been making plans for alllll the fun we’ve got in store in the next few weeks and it has me feeling excited and grateful. I’ve also had Charlie Brown’s Christmas Album playing in repeat in the background with my favorite spiked cider candles burning in every room! Are you an early Xmas decorator/joy-seeker/twinkle-light-lover too? Or do you find the most peace in basking in the goodness of one holiday at a time? Or are you celebrating some other ways?
